SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We would like to welcome our community to submit abstracts and papers to IPSERA 2025. There are three options for submissions:

  • Working papers: authors are required to submit an abstract (up to 1500 words) and, if accepted, to submit a paper (max. 10 pages).
  • Practitioner papers: this is a special track for papers (co)authored by non-academics. Like working papers, the initial submission is an abstract (up to 1500 words) and, in case of acceptance, a paper (max. 10 pages).
  • Competitive papers: authors should directly submit a full paper (max. 15 pages + references/appendices).

Download the template for papers via this link (Please note that the first submitted version must be anonymous).

All types of paper must be submitted via our submission system "Oxford Abstracts" via this link. Note that you need to be registered in the system before you can submit your abstract/paper.

Prepare abstract (Working papers and Practitioner papers)

Authors are invited to submit abstracts of up to 1500 words. The abstract should give an outline of the final paper, indicating the paper’s merits and relevance to the conference scope, a brief account of the results and the conclusions. The required language is English, and all submissions are made electronically to the IPSERA 2025 Online submission system on the Oxford Abstracts WebsiteAll submitted abstracts will be subject to peer-review by the scientific committee. The review process is double-blinded to increase quality and minimize the risk of bias. To allow this, the author names should not be included in the full paper manuscript to be reviewed. Authors are to be added in the final paper.

Prepare full paper

All authors must use the IPSERA 2025 template (click to download) for their full papers. The required language is English, and all submissions are made electronically. Please check the Submission Guidelines and Key Dates pages to correctly and timely submit your paper, as late submissions will not be considered in the review process. Do not forget to activate and use spell-check in the word template before you send in the full paper.

A paper will not be presented at the conference nor published in the proceedings without a conference registration by the corresponding author.

Competitive paper (max 15 pages). For competitive papers, please observe that the full paper is to be submitted directly, no abstract submission is needed. The full paper should be submitted through the IPSERA 2025 Online submission system on the Oxford Abstracts Website. All submitted competitive papers will be subject to peer-review by the scientific committee. You are expected to revise your paper based on the received feedback and then submit a final paper. The review process is double blinded to increase quality and minimize the risk of bias. To allow this, author names should not be included in the full paper manuscript to be reviewed. Authors are to be added in the final paper.

Working papers (max 10 pages). The full paper should be submitted through the IPSERA 2025 Online submission system on the Oxford Abstracts Website by updating your previous abstract submission. Authors are to be added in the final paper.

Practitioner papers (max 10 pages). The full paper should be submitted through the IPSERA 2025 Online submission system on the Oxford Abstracts Website by updating your previous abstract submission. Authors are to be added in the final paper. Practitioners also have the option to opt-out from submitting a paper to the Conference proceeding and instead just present orally at the conference. The presentation will not be included in the conference program without a conference registration by the corresponding author.
