1st annual IPSERA African Initiative Conference

Co-creating Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Knowledge: Insights from Africa

This conference aims to bring together academics, educators and practitioners in the purchasing and supply chain field to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities facing purchasing and supply chains in Africa.

You will hear from presenters speaking on a range of topics related to purchasing and supply chain management in Africa. Topics are for example, but are not limited to the following:

• How purchasing and supply management can support trade in Africa

• Supply chains, the informal sector, and how they work

• Unique African solutions and ideas to improve supply chains

• Indigenous purchasing and supply management practices in Africa

• Enabling sustainable purchasing and supply chain management in Africa

In addition, we have confirmed participation from editors from four well renowned International journals (Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management (JPSM), IJOPM, SCM:IJ and JSCM) that will host a session on ‘‘Publishing in Top-tier Purchasing and Supply Journals’’ as well as a ‘‘Meet the Editors’’ session.
