Nadine first joined the IPSERA community in 2012 and has been elected as member of the executive committee at the 2019 IPSERA conference in Milano.

In her current role as the Head of Inbound Supply Chain in the Corporate SCM & Logistics team at Schaeffler, Nadine supports her organization in building supply chains that make customers, suppliers, and the business win together while acting in the interest of the planet and its people.

In her daily work within the industry, Nadine draws from experience and expertise accumulated as Assistant Professor of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management at the School of Business and Economics of Maastricht University from September 2016 until September 2020. As a frequently invited speaker and trainer, she shared expert knowledge about creativity and innovation within cross-functional and inter-organizational teams with companies, universities and other institutions. As a passionate educator, Nadine was awarded with the school’s prestigious Excellent Graduate Educator Award in 2018.

Funded by NEVI, the Dutch Association for Purchasing Management, Nadine obtained her PhD degree in July 2016 with applied research on procurement’s transformation from a cost-saving to a value-generating function. Under the supervision of Prof. dr. Ko de Ruyter, Prof. dr. Frank Rozemeijer, and Prof. dr. Ad de Jong, Nadine investigated how a creative team climate can facilitate value creation in cross-functional sourcing and during supplier-involved innovation projects. Within this research, Nadine has worked together with and consulted numerous multinational companies and has been an invited speaker to the International Supply Management Congress (ISMC), the NEVI Procurement Day, the Supplier Enabled Innovation Centre (SEIC) of the Procurement Leaders and the Schaeffler Automotive Purchasing World Meeting.

Nadine has presented her research at national and international conferences and colloquia, including EMAC, WION, and IPSERA. She has won both the IPSERA CIPS Best Practitioner Paper award (2012), the ANZMAC Best Paper Award (2014) and the IPSERA Best Paper award (2015), and was the Runner-up of the IPSERA Dissertation Award (2017). Nadine serves in the editorial review board of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management and serves as reviewer in the several peer-reviewed SCM journals. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, Journal of Cleaner Production and in the Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management.

Maintaining her affiliation with Maastricht University today, Nadine’s research expertise extends beyond creativity and innovation in procurement and the supply chain to related topics such as customer centricity, digitalization and sustainability.
